By Ferry
There are four main ferries for this side of France and they are Caen, Cherbourg, St Malo and Le Hauvre.
The nearest one to your destination is Caen. If you arrive in Caen your journey will take approximately 1 - 1 1/2 hours away.
The journey by ferry is quite pleasurable and there is a lot of entertainment provided such as a cinema, children's play area and arcades. You can even book a cabin for your journey which is quite ideal if travelling with small children or taking an overnight sailing at a small extra cost.
The best time to arrive in Caen is in the day - so an early sailing is advisable.

By Plane
If you prefer not to go by Ferry you can fly to Caen from London Stansted . These flights only take a couple of hours. You will then need to arrange to hire a car at the Airport. Please check with the airport for availability.
By Eurotunnel
You can take the Channel Tunnel from Folkestone to Calais. Although you may get a good return deal the drive to the property is over 200 miles away.
